Alex Valenzuela García
Hi guys, my name is Alex, and I'm going to tell you a bit of my life. I was born on January 15, 1975 and in my free time I like to go to the gym, listen to music, read and walk. The languages I speak are English, Spanish, and Quechua. One of my biggest motivations to go ahead is my brother, he was the first one who shared a route with me and from that moment my vocation was born.
Before becoming a guide, I was a porter and I was in charge of carrying the travelers' luggage during the trek. As time went by, I became more passionate about being a professional tour guide and learning to teach people of different nationalities. Today, it was the best decision I could have made.
I have been practicing this beautiful profession for six years now, and I have had the opportunity to know several routes: Salkantay, Inca Trail, Inca Jungle, among others. But, without a doubt, the place that has impacted me the most was Inkachiriasca, where you can see the wild mountain of Salkantay, one of the best views that I have been able to appreciate in Peru.
Working in Salkantay Trekking makes me very happy, and I hope it continues to meet the expectations of every visitor who comes to know our beautiful Peru.
